My Massachusetts Lottery Blog

A log that gets a grade of "B" -- thereby creating the word "BLOG" -- describing my quest to win one of the Massachusetts State lottery games.

Happy Dog

The black lab with the gray whiskers leaned in the opposite direction his leash pulled him in. His owner was content to continue talking with someone while her leash arm remained suspended outwards. The dog held a stick in his teeth, and the corners of his mouth were turned up in almost sort of a smile. Was he happy knowing that he would soon be playing fetch?

Shortly after witnessing this, I bought a Megabucks ticket with these numbers:

03-11-24-32-34-38

The winning numbers were:

19-24-27-32-39-40

Amazing! I got two numbers right, and one was only one off.

"winning the lottery"

I spotted these pansies the other day in a pot on Beacon Hill. I had to lean over a wrought iron fence to take the picture with my camera phone, and I worried briefly that the owner would come out and yell at me. But who is someone that lives on Beacon Hill other than one who, at one time themselves, "won the lottery?" Some luck was involved in them becoming wealthy!

A Picture Share!

The numbers I played today were:

16-21-26-32-34-39

The winning numbers were:

15-19-22-24-29-36

Two of them were only off by one.

crow

As I went to the liquor store to buy a Megabucks ticket today, I heard a crow caw six times. "Caw-caw-caw...caw-caw-caw!" I looked up, and saw that he was perched on the peak of one of the old Victorian houses in my neighborhood.

My numbers for tonight are:

03-05-07-26-27-39

The winning numbers were:

5-6-8-9-14-22

Now I realize the six caws of the crow were for my six numbers, and the reason the caws were divided up into two groups of three was because three of my numbers would have one exactly right and two others that were close. The remaining three "caws" were for the three numbers that were completely wrong. Oh well!

Flowers, flowers, flowers

I've noticed the bright colors of spring more this year. I think it's because I have a camera phone now and every time I see flowers I like, I snap a picture. I even took this picture in the supermarket, right after I bought a Megabucks ticket--

The fuschia colored flowers are something called "fleurettes."

Here are the numbers I played for tonight:
03-14-31-33-34-38
The winning numbers were:
1-3-6-9-21-26
Well, I got one right!

Profusion of Pink

I saw this flowering tree on my way in to work today. I was overwhelmed with the profusion of pink flowers.

A Picture Share!

I dreamed last night that I guessed the scores right for some major sports event. For some reason, there were five or six numbers that represented the score, and I had predicted all of them correctly. I woke up and remembered that three of the numbers were five, 20 and 27. So I played these numbers today for Mega Millions:

05 23 27 32 49 -- (20)

The winning numbers were:

Draw Date Winning Numbers Mega Ball

05/06/05 7-12-25-50-51 19

Oh well, I did not win. However, please note that I was only off by one on two of the numbers.

table/beam of sunlight

I have created a table in Microsoft Word, because I've gotten so behind in inputting my megabucks lottery tickets and whether or not I won each time:

Date

1st #

2nd No.

3rd numb.

4th Nmbr.

5th n.

6th #'er

how many right?

4/9/05

23

26

32

35

39

40

none

4/27/05

05

20

29

38

41

42

none

4/30/05

12

14

18

24

28

37

none

Oh well, rats, I did not win. However, on a side note, the sun burst through the gray clouds today as I walked on the brick sidewalk, causing a bright patch to appear before me. This caused me to feel a little bit of joy.
