four potential accidents

On the day that I bought the first of the two Megabucks tickets that you see below, I almost got in four accidents. This was to and from the liquor store to buy the ticket. On the Wednesday that I bought the second ticket, I didn't have any close calls. A good accident, however, would be to accidentally win the jackpot.

(the winning numbers were 14-15-19-21-34-37; one number right, but sorry, no cigar!)

(the winning numbers were 5-9-18-25-30-31; not bad, I got two out of six ... and out of the remaining four numbers, three of them were only one digit off!)

Results

As I sit here in front of my computer wondering if I have two winning lottery tickets, part of me says, "You're crazy to even think for a second that you won." Now, if I listened to that voice, why would I even bother checking the lottery's website to see what the winning numbers were? So, because I do indeed have a tiny little hope that I might have won, I'm going to check the winning numbers right now.

11/30/04 12-17-19-28-30 (Mass Cash)

I got one number right (28). I haven't given up yet ... I still have another set of numbers to check:

12/01/04 1-9-17-24-28-37 (Megabucks)

My hopes have been shattered. I did not win anything with my tickets. Oh well, I'll just have to try again.

I actually went and purchased another lottery ticket, before I've even found out if I got any numbers right on the last one. The Megabucks ticket that I picked up today has the numbers --
